Donovan J. DeLuca graduated from Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School in Chardon, Ohio, in 2005. Mr. DeLuca participated on the varsity football, basketball and track teams. Mr. DeLuca attended Washington & Jefferson College where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2009. At Washington & Jefferson, Mr. DeLuca participated on the varsity football team, and was the President of the pre-legal society. Mr. DeLuca earned his Juris Doctorate from the Widener University School of Law in 2012 where he was a Hugh B. Pierce Mock Trial Advocacy Competition finalist.
After law school, Mr. DeLuca began working at Manning & Manning LLC in Mentor. Then, Mr. DeLuca spent five years with the Geauga County Prosecutors Office where he gained valuable trial experience. At the prosecutor’s office Mr. DeLuca represented Geauga County Job and Family Services, prosecuting parents who abused and/or neglected their children.
Mr. DeLuca joined Ibold & O’Brien in 2020 with seven years of legal experience in Juvenile, Common Pleas, and Appeal courts throughout North East Ohio.
Mr. DeLuca practices in the areas of juvenile, family, business, social security disability and criminal law.
Mr. DeLuca is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Geauga County Bar Association, and the Lake County Bar Association.
Mr. DeLuca is a member of St. Mary’s Church in Chardon and enjoys weight lifting and playing basketball at the Geauga County YMCA, where he is on the Board of Directors.
Mr. DeLuca enjoys giving back to his high school alma mater by coaching their Mock Trial team. Mr. DeLuca is a graduate of “Leadership Geauga”, class of 2020.
